COVID-19 Safe Management Plan

Covid-19 Safe Managment Measures

with Everyone’s Safety in Mind

CLASSROOM AFTER CIRCUIT BREAKER MEASURES

To safe guard the health and well-being of every person within the centre, The Reading Gym has put in place measures and practices to enforce good personal hygience habits of every child, maintain safe distancing, and minimise close contact amongst students and teachers.

Safe Management Measures to Reduce the Risk of Covid-19 Transmissions to the Lowest Possible Levels:

  1. Daily purging of the air in the centre:  At the start of each day, teachers arrive early to ventilate the centre by leaving the main door and the back windows open for at least 15 minutes before switching on the air-conditioners. This allows the air in the centre to be purged once a day and has been the centre’s practice for the past 15 years.

  2. Restriction of visitors: All parents to stay/ wait outside the centre when dropping off/ fetching their children. Use Trace-Together SafeEntry to Check-In when coming into the centre’s premises, and Check-Out when leaving .

  3. Temperature-taking and health checks of students are conducted upon arrival at the centre - those who are unwell (i.e., those who exhibit symptoms such as fever, coughing and sneezing) will not be allowed entry.

  4. Handwashing with soap and water is enforced once students are allowed entry into the centre. Students to sanitize their hands before the partaking of meals/snacks.

  5. Compulsory wearing of face masks at all times for teachers and students.

  6. Wiping down of table and chair surfaces upon arrival and again before leaving the centre. All students to use wet wipes that contain the active ingredients benzalkonium chloride or sodium hypochlorite. Students to wash their hands with soap and water after each wipe down.

  7. All students are seated 1m apart from one another wherever possible.

  8. Discourage borrowing and lending of stationery to maintain safe-distancing and minimise close contact amongst students.

  9. Avoid ‘loud speech’: Children may talk to each other softly, or at normal voices, with masks on, during break time and while waiting to go home, while observing safe-distancing at all times.

  10. All “high-touch” surfaces are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day, using wet wipes that contain the active ingredient benzalkonium chloride, as recommended by NEA and MOH.
